Wow, where did 2011 go? Looking back on 2011, God has been so good to our family. He has blessed us beyond measure. He is always faithful. We are entering into a new year and I pray God's blessings on our family and yours in this new year. Our family will be going through a lot this coming year and I pray for God's protection. We love all our friends and family and wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.

On Sunday, Tray decided to punch a hole in his bedroom door.
On Monday, Tray pulls the TV down on his head.

Sorry it has been a long time since the last post, but it has been busy in the Bardin household. We are at the end of our pregnancy and are very excited to see our little "Carson". Tray keeps asking when is the doctor going to get him out. I am sure he will not be saying that when he arrives. (HaHa) I know he is excited to see his little brother and I know he will help me a lot.

We had a garden this year and Tray was able to help Daddy plant and pick a lot of veggies. He loves the time he can spend with his daddy. He is growing up fast.

I on the other hand have been very tired. Carson is taking a lot of my energy. I have had to slow down a lot and try to rest as much as I can. That is a hard thing to do when you are running after a soon to be 4 yr. old and try to be a wife and mommy, but I know God is teaching me a lot through this. Just slow down and enjoy life.

We have 5 1/2 weeks left and can't wait for our little boy to arrive.

I can't beleive spring is here and it is time to plant our garden again. This is our garden before we planted this past weekend. We have most of the garden planted and ready for crop. We are hoping to get another crop in before the end of summer. We are praying that the weather will be great for our garden this year. I will try to post some pictures up of our garden after it has been planted.

We went bowling with some of our friends a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. Tray did not get a nap that day so he was not in the best mood, but we all still had a wonderful time with our friends. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Where did 2009 go. It is hard to believe that January is almost over. We hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. It was so much fun this year. Tray was able to open his presents himself and it was fun to watch him. After five he did not want to open anymore.

Last Friday Tray had eye surgery and it seemed to have fixed the problem. We want to thank all of you for your prayers and phone calls. God is so good. It is hard so see your little one go through something like that, but that is when we have to put them in the Lord's hands.

We'll here in NC the days are getting shorter and cooler. You can tell fall is here. We enjoyed an Apple Festival last week in Brushy Mountain, NC. We had a wonderful time as a family together. Tray was able to pet some animals in a petting area and also enjoyed cooled apple cider. I did not think he would like it, but he loved it. This weekend we are going to Mount Airy Autumn Leaves Festival with some friends from church and then we have a couple's activity at church. I am sorry I have not post for a while, but it has been real busy in the Bardin's household. Tray goes Friday for his 2 year old check-up (where has the time gone). I will try to post some pictures of our festival trips. Hope everyone is doing well.

Our Nephew, Elias Nick John, was born August 27th at 3:55 AM. Mom and Dad are doing great. We have been praying for this little blessing for a long time. Please continue to pray for Rachel and Nick in the days ahead on being new parents. I am sure they will do a great job. We are leaving next friday to travel to Florida, so please pray for safety traveling. Tray will be turning "2" nex Friday. It is hard to believe. It seems like yesterday we were bring him home from the hospital. He is having his Birthday Party this Sunday because we want be here on his Birthday. We hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. We hope all the Mother's in the world had a wonderful Mother's Day. This is my second mother's day and I enjoy being a mother every moment. God has provided us with a few more swarms. (Bee's) Tim received another call yesterday and we have five hives now. Some are weaker than others, but we are hoping they will continue to thrive. We are leaving next Friday to spend Memorial Day weekend with the Bardin family in GA. We are excited about enjoying time together and getting away for a few days. Happy Monday! I am sorry it has been a long time since I have posted, but Tray has had Strep. Tim is a little late on planting the garden this year. He is hoping to plant it tonight or tomorrow. Tim was able to catch a swarm of bees last Friday. It has been a big blessing because they run about $130.00 per hive. We have three hives right now. We are just hoping they don't swarm. May is going to be a busy month. It seem like every weekend we have something to do. We are hoping to plant some bushes in front of our house and flowers. I am excited about that. We had a beautiful snow last Sunday. I thought I would post some pictures for all of you to see that live in Florida.

Well the Bardin family have been really busy these last few weeks. We have had a few doctor appts. They all have gone well with Tray's check-ups. Snow! Snow! Snow!

Well, it snowed yesterday on my way home from work. I went and picked up Tray from Nana Joann's and he did not know what to think. He was grinning from ear to ear holding his hands up in the air when we walked outside. When we got home we stood outside for a few minutes to let him enjoy all of the white stuff. He looked around like "What is this stuff!" I will try to post some pictures up later to let you see how much we got.

We are having some problems with Tray passing out. Last night he wanted to play with is breathing machine and Tim told him "NO". What do you think Tray wanted to do? Play with it again. So Tim popped his leg. Tim went off to go do something and I heard him messing with it. So I went and moved him away from it. Then he pitched a fit and was crying. He held his breath and passed out. I blew in his face and that normally brings him back to where he is responsive, but not his time. I was screaming at him and he was not responding. I screamed for Tim and when I started down the hall with Tray he was responsive. It scared us both. I thought I would share our little experience this week.

Dusting of Snow!

Well, I got up at 12:30 AM this morning and it was snowing. We only got a dusting, but it was so nice seeing the ground covered in white. We were heading to Nanny's this morning and we slid a little. We hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year. It is hard to believe it is 2009. Tray is growing more and more each day. He started walking December 18th and has not stopped. Yesterday, I picked him up from Nanny’s house (babysitter) and he blew her a good-bye kiss. Then last night he called Nana all by himself. He is too smart.

This Saturday we are going to go eat Japanese for all of our Birthdays and then we are coming back to the Bardin’s house to open presents. What fun, Christmas again! I will try to post some pictures this week. Love to all.

Well, I am going to be off for two weeks during Christmas break. I am going to enjoy spending time with our 15 month old son. We have had some fun times already this week. We are having some college guys stay with us this weekend, so Tray and I get to clean tomorrow and wrap gifts. Monday we are going to pack and Tuesday we are leaving for Florida. Pray for us, we are traveling at night this time. I am hoping Tray will sleep. We can't wait to spend time with Tim's family and we are going to have Christmas with my family when we return. Doctor Check-Up!

We went to the doctor yesterday for Tray's 15 Month Check Up.

Weight: 23 lbs. 3 oz.

Length: 32 1/4 inches long.

Head Circumference: 19 1/2 inches.

The doctor said he must have a lot of brains. He had his MMR shot, Varicella shot for chicken pox's and HIB shot. He did not do well while he got his shots, but he did well after. I hope all is doing well.

Update on the Bardins!

Our house has been busy the last few weeks, but we have enjoyed every minute and it is only going to get worse. With Thanksgiving next week and Christmas in 5 weeks our weekends are really going to be busy. I love Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is where we can reflect on what the Lord has blessed us with.

This morning on my way to take Tray to the babysitters we had Christmas music on. I know Tray was thinking…”Mommy, what kind of music is this!” I heard him in the background making sounds, so I don’t know if he was singing or trying to tell me to turn it off.

He is making improvement on his walking. He let go yesterday and started walking without us helping him. I don’t know if I am ready for this yet. He is growing fast. I am hoping to put the tree up either this weekend or next. It is going to be interesting how many ornaments he pulls off the tree. Nana, get ready! We hope all of you have a great week.

On Halloween night we had a “Creation Celebration” night for our Cross Trainer kids. They had to dress up as one of God’s creations or a Bible character. We dressed Tray up as a dog. He did really well with his costume. He is so cute.

My cousin and her family came down from VA to spend some time with us and my Grandmother. So tonight, we are going to have pizza at my mom’s house and spend the evening together.

This weekend is going to be very exciting for all of us. Nana and Aunt Rachel are coming in on Friday night. Tray talked with Nana last night and was grinning from ear to ear. (He Loves his Nana and Aunt Rach!!) We hope all of you have a great week.

Tray had a bad night. He coughed all night long. I gave him some Benadryl last night and some congestion medicine this morning. So, I am hoping he will have a good day today at the babysitters. If he is not better tomorrow I am going to take him to the doctor.

On Tuesday, Tray learned how to snap his fingers for the first time. I can’t believe our 13 month old can snap his fingers. We have been trying to get him to do it for Tim, but he will not do it. Here are a few pictures of Tray last night.

Update on Tray's Heart!

We went to the Pulmonary Specialist yesterday and the doctor said Tray’s heart murmur is gone. PRAISE THE LORD. Tray did so well yesterday and sat still. I know that is hard to believe. Tray weighed 24 lbs. and he was 29 ½ inches long. He is growing like a weed. He is trying to walk, but just want let go of things. Which that is fine with me. I don’t think I am ready for him to walk and our house is not ready either. Well, I hope all of you have a great week. Pray for us as we travel today to Myrtle Beach. Autumn Festival

Last weekend we went to Mt. Airy, NC to a Autumn Leaves Festival. We had a great time and the weather was wonderful. We enjoyed looking at all the crafts and going in some old shops.

This weekend we are going to Morehead City, NC and Atlantic Beach to let Tim and my Dad go fishing. It will be a great time to get away for a little mini vacation weekend. Here are some pictures of us at the Festival.

Tray's Doctor Visit

Well, I took Tray to the Doctor on Friday of last week for his 1 year check-up. Come to find out he had 2 ear infections; Iron was low, allergies and asthma. (Poor Guy) He is doing much better. We have to go back this Friday to get shots, so please pray for us. Tim snapped these pictures of Tray while they were watching the FSU game last Saturday, and this was Tray’s reaction. Tray enjoyed his 1st Birthday. Last Thursday we went to my parents and had him a little Birthday party. We made him a little cake and he dug right in. On Saturday we had him another Birthday party and invited our close friends. We had a great time. Tray has not been able to enjoy his toys yet, but hopefully he will enjoy them in the next few days. Thank you for all the gifts and for all of you who came to share his Birthday with us.

Today is our Baby’s 1st Birthday. Happy Birthday Tray! Like he can really read this. It seems like yesterday we were heading to the hospital. Tray was born at 2:34 AM weighing 5 lbs. 5.6 ounces. After being in NICU for two week we brought Tray home not knowing what we had in store for us. God had really blessed us with a healthy baby. It has been hard at times going back and forth to the Doctor’s, but has always helped us through. Today we want to say thank you to our Lord and Savior for giving us our little bundle of joy. Happy Birthday! :)

Tray's 1st Mini Vacation!

Our Labor Day weekend started off at the beach for a mini vacation. This was Tray’s first time at the beach, so we were anxious to see how he was going to react to the water and sand. Let me tell you he loved both.

Our Weekend:
* Friday we went to Barefoot Landing and walked around and fed the fish.
* Saturday we went to the Beach, Pool, Outlet Malls and Broadway at the Beach. We really had a great time being together as a family.
* Sunday we relaxed and went to Bass Pro Shop and some other stores then we went and walked on the Pier. Tray seemed to really enjoy that. Tim was hoping to fish, but they were not catching anything. :(
*Monday we got up and came back home. It felt really good getting back at a decent time on Monday. We went and had supper with some of our friend and then we went to the park to let Tray and Caleb swing.

This week has been a good week so far for the Bardin’s. Monday night we had to go and return some items for Tray’s 1st Bithday, because they did not have enough of the same thing at the other store, then we came home and I fixed supper and watched the Olympics. Tuesday, I came home and fixed supper then we went to Sam’s to get some things we were needing and then to Big Lots to see if they had any baby food for Tray. Tonight, we have church. I hope all of you are having a great week. We are looking forward to Labor Day weekend. We are going to the Beach. This will be Tray’s first time at the Beach, it will be interesting to see how he reacts. I will try to post some pictures of our mini vacation when we get back. We bought Tray this chicken outfit for Halloween last year before he was born thinking he would be able to wear it this Halloween. We tried it on him last week and guess what he can’t wear it. It was way too small, but we had to get some pictures of him in it. He would have been a cute chicken for Halloween, but he is cute in it even if it is small. He is growing too fast.

Tray and I went to the Lazy 5 Ranch on Monday with the Cross Trainer Kids from our church. We had the best time, but it was HOT! We had another busy weekend at the Bardin’s household. Nana and PopPop came from Florida to spend some time with us for the 4th of July. Friday we went to the Kernersville 4th of July parade, then later on that afternoon we had a cookout. Saturday we went to some thrift stores, so Mike could get some books and then Tray had his 9 month pictures at JC Penny, but really it was his 10 month. We had a wonderful time with Nana and PopPop. Update on BayLeigh Kate Johnson #2

Doctors released Tana on Thursday, July 3rd of last week and BayLeigh on Friday, July 4th. BayLeigh is doing well. Doctors think she had a stress ulcer from the labor. They pumped all the old blood out of her stomach and she is doing much better. Praise the Lord! Thank you for all the prayers.

This is an update on Jack and Tana’s baby BayLeigh Kate. The doctors said today that they think she has an ulcer or something is wrong with the lining of her stomach. She is throwing up blood today and they are only feeding her sugar water every hour. She is still in NICU. Please continue to pray for the family.

Please pray for our friends Jack and Tana Johnson. This was Tray's first babysitter. We called her Nana Tana. They had a beautiful baby girl 9lbs. 21 in. yesterday, June 30th. They had to rush her to NICU today, July 1st. She threw up blood three times today. Please pray for their family during this time. This is their third child. Thank you for your prayers. We made progress on our bathroom last night we were up until midnight painting. We got all the bathroom painted, I just have to do some touch ups today and clean. I hope all of you have a good day.

It is hard to believe it is almost July. This week is going to be very busy for the Bardins. We have to go visit Tray's old babysitter in the hospital tonight. She is having her third baby. We ar hoping it is a boy. Then tonight we have to paint our bathroom. Tomorrow after work I need to clean (What Fun). :( Wednesday we have church. Tuesday, Tim's parents are coming in and spending the 4th of July weekend with us. We are very excited they are coming. Tray talked with Nana last light and he was talking as hard as he could talk in baby words. I hope all of you have a wonderful July 4th. I am praying this week will go by fast.

Tray's test results came back negative. Thank you all for praying for him. We serve an awesome God!

Busy, Busy, Bardins!!

Well we have been doing great here and busy as ever. I apologize for not keeping everyone as informed as we would like. Tray is growing by leaps and bounds, he is over 22 pounds and has 5 teeth, and he is 9 ½ months old today. He loves to jibber jabber and he started saying “Da-da” last week. His word for this week, I haven’t been able to make it out but I think he is putting syllables together, it sounded like “fish-ing”. You be the judge. No seriously, we have thoroughly enjoyed Tray and we have learned real quickly lately that there is no stopping or breaking while eating his food, he wants it shoveled in fast; he loves baby yogurt, applesauce, carrots, and his favorite- sweet potatoes. He waves his hands around and smiles real big when he sees momma coming but pitches a fit when she walks away. He is very observant to objects, shapes and sizes. I have attached a picture of Tray rooting for the Celtics in game 4 of the NBA finals, he likes basketball, and lots of movements on TV. I won tickets for us to go to a Hi-Toms baseball game last night and he just was happy to be there. We go next week for Cystic Fibrosis testing at Brenner’s Hospital in Winston Salem, we are praying that the Lord would give wisdom to the doctors and specialists that will be administering these tests, honestly I believe that we are going to hear what the Lord has done already and touched his little body that they will say that he is clear and not needed to do any testing. Pray with expectancy….. God knows.

Well we have a garden this year with the addition of 3 beehives. I need some help coming up with a name to call the small operation/business. I thought what better way to come up with a name then to ask my closest family and friends. I have extracted 20 pounds from one box (or super) of honey and have 2 others to extract waiting. I am taking the bees on vacation Friday morning before I go into work to the Fancy Gap, in the mountains near Virginia. There they will collect nectar from the famous Sourwood bloom. I will leave them there for 3-4 weeks and then bring them back home and relocate them in the back yard. May God bless you and prosper you as you do His Work. Well, I hope all of you Father's had a wonderful Father's Day. We spent time with my family on Sunday afternoon. We are wanting to get a lot of little jobs done this week. We have a lot to do before the garden comes in. Tim is going today to pick up our first 18-20lbs. of honey that was extracted yesterday and we already have a few buyers that want to buy some honey. This weekend we are taking the "bee girls" up to Galax for the sourwood honey flow. We hope that will go well. In a few weeks we will go back to Galax to check on the bees. I will try to post some pictures up in the next few days to let you see how it all has turned out. Have a great Monday.

It has been a busy week in the Bardin household. Tray's 5th tooth has come in and his 6th one in coming in now. We have a softball game tonight and a cross trainers activity that Tim and I have to help in this weekend. Isaac's birthday party is on Saturday, so it looks like this weekend is already full. We had a wonderful week with Tim's family in Florida. Tim was in a Wedding the Saturday before last, then we had his brother's wedding last Saturday. The weather was wonderful. Well I have a few minutes to share what has been going on here in NC with the Bardin’s. Tray will be 6 months 2 weeks tomorrow, and he has just been growing, in my mind I can’t remember holding Tray so small after he was born, all I can remember is him as big as he is now. We are praying that we are over the cold weather and trying to get Bekah and Tray away from the congestion and bronchitis stuff that they had. We are looking forward to Jon’s wedding in Tallahassee in April, to share their special day with them and also see friends and loved ones we have not been able to see for some time. Tray requires a lot of attention and gets tired of the exersaucer because he wants to play with mommy and daddy. He giggles when tickled and is very observant watching our every move and gesture. He loves to talk to himself in the morning while he is still in the crib, but once he is out when he gets excited, he starts to scream. He stands up with help, but he is not walking yet. It won’t be too long though.

We are getting ready to start back in the garden; I am a little behind, got more important priorities, but with the addition of the honeybees I feel that we will have all that we will want with vegetables. We were able to payoff my student loan this last month after receiving our tax return, we are just one step closer to being debt free.

Happy Valentine's Day

Well we are already half way through the month of February, it seemed like last week was Christmas! We are all getting over the congestion and bronchitis type stuff that is going around. Tray is 5 ½ months old and growing and learning each day. He is teething, so we are learning what it is like to go from laughing to screaming and crying. He has begun to sleep through the night and eating 7 ounces at each feeding, he is eating some fruits for solids and next month, he will start on vegetables. He has started to imitate mommy when she plays with him and talks to him, he loves to be held and bounced. He laughs when tickled and will coos more now then last month. I start laughing when I am holding him and he just lowers his head while keeping eye contact with me and just starts to coo, like it is a serious conversation that we are carrying on. He loves to sit and watch TV in his exersaucer, but would rather be playing with mommy and daddy. We had our 1st experience with the emergency room with Tray 2 weeks ago with him coming down with a bad case of bronchitis, but he is much better now and we looking forward to it getting warm again.

We were surprised coming out of “Crosstrainers” last night at church to find that it was snowing pretty heavy. I was unaware that we were supposed to get any.
We had about an inch to 2 inches. We have had 2 snows this year, which is more than we have had the last 2 years combined.

What’s going on here in North Carolina with us? Bekah is still working at Kerwin Baptist Church as a secretary and I have been at Old Dominion Freight Line going on 10 months now. We both enjoy our jobs with the good people that the Lord has surrounded us with. We are about to start practices for our Easter program and I am playing softball again this spring. We are planning to have a garden this year and anticipating a good crop with the addition of our honeybees. I am not sure how much canning will be done with more responsibilities with Tray but hope to some vegetables and fruits.

On this Valentine’s Day may we share the “TRUE LOVE” that was demonstrated to us by our Lord Jesus Christ!

We have had an exciting weekend at the Bardin home.
Here is Tray with his new exersaucer toy, which keeps him occupied for a little while.

On Saturday, we had our first official snow!
It was not much, but at least it was something. I was hoping we could go out and play in it with Tray, but by the picture you can see that did not happen.

On Sunday, We all went to the FSU / WFU basketball game. We were all excited. This was also Tray’s first basketball game. We had a great time together as a family.

Christmas in NC

We enjoyed our 1st Christmas with Tray in North Carolina, Nana and Pop Pop came up from Florida to spend Christmas with us. After opening presents and reading the Christmas story from Luke 2 we got ready and packed the explorer up and went to Mimi and Granddady Hampton. There we ate a delicious Christmas dinner with all the fixin's, opened presents and enjoyed fellowship the rest of the evening. Here below Tray is laughing at Mimi. He is growing and changing daily.

We enjoyed a cold Sunday afternoon at our town's Christmas parade. Here are some pictures that I shot.

Tray is sleeping through his first Christmas parade as the firetrucks and bands go by. It's amaizing what babies can sleep through!

Old Salem Candle Tea

We enjoyed an evening at the Candle Tea hosted by the Moravians in Old Salem. We sang Christmas carols accompanied by an old pump organ.

Then we watched the process of making the famous beeswax candles.

Next we went into the kitchen and sampled the moravian sugar cake along with some moravian coffee. We then went to the sub basement which was used as a refridgerated room for meats, vegetables, and preserves. We observed the Old Salem replica and heard the Christmas story and the putz. We believe that we will make this a family tradition and try to attend each year forward.
